IDR is seeking a Technical Lead to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will serve as a key technical liaison between IT and non-technical program teams, helping drive clear, actionable insights from complex data sources. The work supports accurate reporting and strategic decision-making in a mission-focused environment.

Position Overview for the Technical Lead:

• Act as a technical lead and bridge between technical IT teams and non-technical program staff across Health and Human Services (HHS) areas
• Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable queries for analytics and reporting against complex data sources
• Leverage AI prompting techniques to support data access, synthesis, and reporting for official agency needs
• Explain technical findings and data limitations clearly to end-users to enable confident operational use of data

Requirements for the Technical Lead:

• Experience gathering business requirements and translating complex data requests into clear, actionable queries for complex analytics data sources
• Experience explaining technical findings and data limitations in simple, non-technical language to end-users
• Experience in a complex data analysis, senior business/systems analyst, and/or data liaison role
• Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience collaborating with end-users and performance analysts or IT internal leaders to create and validate reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
