IDR is seeking a Snowflake Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. Write 2-3 sentences summarizing this role and company (example industry) without naming the company or mentioning compensation. Position Overview for the Snowflake Administrator:
- Manage and optimize the Snowflake platform across environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient operations.
- Implement and administer RBAC, data access governance, and enterprise IAM-aligned user provisioning.
- Support AI-enabled analytics by enabling Snowflake Cortex capabilities with governance and monitoring.
- Build and support data pipelines and transformations using DBT and workflow orchestration with Openflow (or similar tools).
Requirements for the Snowflake Administrator:
- Strong hands-on experience administering Snowflake platform (DBA/Admin role)
- Experience implementing RBAC and data access governance
- Experience with SSO integration (Okta, SailPoint)
- Enable and support Snowflake AI (Cortex) features, including AI functions, governance, and monitoring
- Design and manage Snowflake roles, privileges, and user provisioning aligned with enterprise IAM processes
