IDR is seeking a Red Hat OCP Admin Lead to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves leading the administration, support, and automation of OpenShift environments hosted on AWS, ensuring platform reliability and security within a dynamic, cloud-based setting.
Position Overview for the Red Hat OCP Admin Lead:
- Lead the administration, configuration, patching, and upgrades for OpenShift clusters on AWS.
- Manage troubleshooting and performance optimization across Kubernetes, networking, storage, and container runtime layers.
- Design and support OpenShift integration with AWS services such as VPC, EC2, S3, and IAM.
- Own cluster health, capacity planning, backup/recovery, and automation workflows.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and establish operational standards for platform support.
Requirements for the Red Hat OCP Admin Lead:
- Mastery in DevOps practices, Kubernetes, Red Hat Linux, and OpenShift.
- Expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and automation tools like Ansible.
- Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including VPC, EC2, and S3.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale cloud platform support teams and projects.
- Excellent troubleshooting, security enforcement, and performance tuning skills.
