IDR is seeking a Contract Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of county contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and risk management standards within a government or public sector environment.
Position Overview for the Contract Manager:
- Manage the development, review, negotiation, execution, and administration of county contracts and agreements
- Draft, review, and revise contract language to ensure compliance with county policies, regulations, and risk management requirements
- Establish and administer insurance requirements for vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations and requirements
- Serve as a key resource to departments by supporting operational and strategic objectives through contract management
Requirements for the Contract Manager:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Contract Manager for a State of Texas entity
- Professional experience setting appropriate insurance requirements for vendors
- Experience working with a City/County is preferred
- Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal language accurately
- Strong understanding of risk management and compliance standards within a governmental context
